Bad News and Good News for Free Movie Fans
The Bad News: We Love DC is reporting that Screen on the Green (usually held in the summer on the downtown mall) has probably been cancelled for 2009. Looks like your best bet for summer movies this year is to stay in Virginia.
The Good News: If you’re dying to go into the city for a free movie on Monday nights, the National Theatre has just released is free Monday night movie schedule for summer, and it’s an Elizabeth Taylor Fest! The movies start up on June 22 and include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, National Velvet, and Father of the Bride.
