Harris Teeter Super Doubles Take 3

I’m sure that many of you were on the edge of your seats, so I’m happy to report that my order from The Coupon Clippers arrived in the mail today!  I ordered on Wednesday and it shipped on Friday, and it arrived perfectly in order.  I’m counting myself a satisfied customer and will likely order from them again.

Of course, this means I had to make another (hopefully final) trip to Harris Teeter today to use them.  The shelves were a little bare after the weekend so several of my planned transactions were foiled.  (But did I really need any more Pert Plus?)  I still managed to get some great deals.  I’ll spare you the details and just hit the highlights:

  • I stocked up on Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  The 17 oz bottles are regularly $8.39.  They were on sale for $4.99, and I paid $2.99 each after this printable doubled.  (I also get 1% back from Upromise for Berio products—every little bit helps!)
  • There’s an unadvertised deal on Hillshire Farm Sausage links.  They’re on sale for $2.99, and if you buy 2, you get $2 off your order.  If you use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 6/7 Red Plum, you can get them for $.99 each.
  • Harris Teeter Naturals Diced Tomatoes are on sale for $1/can.  That is a great price for organic tomatoes!

Do you have any highlights from your weekend shopping?  Please share them in the comments, and feel free to leave a link!

The Potomac Yard Harris Teeter has been really nice about giving me rain checks for products that were out of stock when I had coupon match-ups. About a month ago I tried to get Egglands eggs on triple coupon week, but they were out. Today I used my raincheck and got that week’s price for the eggs ($2.49) and the manager honored my $0.55 coupon, so i paid $0.84 for a dozen eggs. So I saved about $1 off of the cost of store-brand eggs, which isn’t huge in the scheme of things, but I am pretty pleased.

Today they were out of toothpaste, which I would have gotten for free, so I asked for a raincheck. The manager *said* she would honor my super double coupon if I came back to that location, but didn’t make it explicit like the egg raincheck, so we’ll see.

I made a last minute 2nd run to HT last night. They were still out of 3 items since my Sunday run (Pert, toothpaste, and deod). When I talked to the manager about getting rainchecks and honoring the coupons he said they would still double the $1 coupons next time I came in and bought these products with the rainchecks. He did stress that it would be easier if I brought those products to the cust serv counter and not a cashier. We’ll see if mine work also. good luck

Thanks for all of your write-ups on this! I hit Harris Teeter for the 2nd time this week and picked up some great deals, including the Kraft cheese (the Catalina did work for me), the olive oil, Johnsonville breakfast sausage, Sure deoderant for men, Wacky Mac, and lots of other things. Unfortunately they were out of the tunafish packets both days, but I couldn’t expect everything to go as planned! Thanks for helping me save money! I don’t usually shop at Harris Teeter because Safeway is much closer, but I think I’ll start to more often – everyone was so kind and pleasant – and ENCOURAGED using coupons. It was great.
